No, it’s not crepitus, or a lipidoma. I’ve seen those before. They are radiation burns from radiation therapy for cancer. Her friend/family next to her is probably doing the same with his hair to be supportive. It is very painful.
I agree with Madigan. There is something clearly wrong with the woman’s head and I would like to think the man was being sweet and shaved his head the same way in support.
