its better than leaving him in the car or with someone you dont trust. that’s a good manager to allow that.

  2. JD Storm says:

  3. Quills says:

“And someday this will all be yours, son.”

  4. Darth Havok says:

Dude! Wtf! Some moron is stating the obvious?!

  5. Again Hater says:

This is unbelievable! Looks like the baby is in a kitchen area and there is hot grease and other hazards! People are so fucking stupid!

  6. CAF says:

This was taken around 10 PM at a McDonald’s at Coit and George Bush in Plano, TX. The workers kept walking by and talking to the baby like it was “normal” for it to be there and my 17 year old was in the backseat yelling “can I get a 10 lb. baby to go” and they looked at us like WE were crazy and being weird . . . REALLY?!?!? We actually ordered something else to stall once we got to the window so that we could take a picture.

  7. UnblinkingGorn says:

What did you guys think your burgers were made of?

  8. CJ says:

What a shock, a McDonald’s employee is a bad parent, what are the odds?

  9. JD Storm says:

guess that explains the chocolaty color of the burgers.

Ok, I know this may seem like a bad idea, and no I am not one for bringing a baby to work. However, the baby is strapped in the carseat and not being allowed to crawl around. @Again Hater, the baby is not in a kitchen area, it is behind the counter, no hot grease or chemicals are stored there. The child looks healthy and is clothed properly. Perhaps this employees baby sitter called off last min and he had to bring the baby to work for a few mins until someone else could come and pick it up. In this economy, jobs, even in the food industry are hard to come by. I manged fast food restaurants for more than 20 years and on more than one occassion, employees have had issues where they had to bring the baby to work for 20 min or so. I had no issue with that, as good help is hard to find. However, I would usually have them sit the baby in the office area, or offer to let them clean the lobby with the baby in the car seat at one of the tables until someone could pick the baby up for them. On a last note, more than once we have all heard of someone leaving a young child in the care of a brother or sister that was not old enough to watch the baby, and bad things have happened to both of them. This parent choose to keep the baby with them where they could keep an eye on the baby until someone could pick the baby up. Some would say, oh they should have called in, or came in late. Most fast food places want you there when you are scheduled or you don’t have a job. It is a tough economy and overall I think this parent did the best they could to make sure they are making money and to make sure that the baby is safe.

As one that works at McDonald’s and is a mother of two, I resent the statement we are bad parents. Bad parents can work anywhere and some of the worst have no jobs at all. Also, did anyone think that maybe the baby belonged to an employee that was checking their schedule and they didn’t want to bring the child back to where the food is being made? Its safe up near the registers. Oh well, I guess people will always be ignorant in this world.

  12. Tony says:

All i have to say too all those people calling this worker a bad parent. See if you can afford child care on minimum wage and pay the rent and eat too.

Didn’t know the forum rules allowed such brliliant posts.

Caf, I don’t live too far from Plano and it doesn’t surprise me. EVERY time I go to Wal-Mart here, little kids (NOT teens – I’m talking anywhere from age 3-10) are wandering all over the place with no parents. I was looking at Star Wars stuff the other day and this little boy about 5 was going up and down the aisle. Then the mother stops at the end of the aisle and asks him “Where’s your sister?”. OMG. Probably in a car on the way out of state with a total stranger. THAT’S where she is, bitch!

The people in this state love to boast how much “family values” they have and they’re full of shit. They can’t even keep their own little kids next to them while they’re shopping. It’s as if they WANT them all abducted!

  15. Sothernlites says:

Shame on all of you who think this is bad parenting. Obviously you’ve never been in a situation where you had to pick going to work or dealing with no babysitter. Whoever had to do this is at least working and staying off the welfare roll. Sometimes you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t!

  16. Tiffany says:

OMG I cant believe that someone would take their baby behind the counter at a fast food place with FREAKING hot grease back there where the baby could get hurt

  17. Brittany says:

Working for McDonald’s for two years this actually is not all that uncommon. Two of my managers would bring in their babies and have me hold them while I was doing back drive thru (the order taker) so that they could do manager-y duties. And yes, weird looks would ensue. Pretty sure DCF would get a kick out of this.

  18. Amelia says:

I see no bad parenting here. I see people doing what they have to do to care for their baby. most likely mom works one shift and dad works the other and they split baby duty. probably whichever parent is working at mcdonalds only has the baby for a few minutes til the other parent gets off work and can pick him up. the irresponsible parents are the ones w no jobs and leave their baby in the car so they can go to the bar.

  19. taterhead says:

Why does everyone assume the child belongs to the man? There is a female in the picture. How do we know that the child belongs to either one of these people? Maybe, as stated previously, it was an employee that dropped in to check the schedule, but we don’t know that either. If the manager on duty has no problem with this, then why should you?
